What does the Lifetime Warranty Policy cover?

Our warranty policy follows very specific criteria to determine if a claim is eligible for approval.

The criteria for approval of warranty coverage includes the following:

  • Damaged and/or cracked stones
  • Snapped bracelets
  • Damaged and/or malfunctioning clasps
  • Broken chains

The criteria for rejection of a warranty claim will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Lost or stolen items
  • Oxidization or Discolouring over time
  • Wear and tear from customer use
  • The natural breakdown of colours and materials over extended time and use, rips, tears, holes, burns, pilling, and shrinking
  • Failure or damage caused by improper use or carelessness
  • Failure or damage caused by repair or modification. This includes cleaning solutions that will tarnish the silver and remove the patina. These silver solutions are generally acidic.
  • Alteration or damage caused by a third party
  • Change of item ownership from one party to another
  • Item purchased from an unauthorized retailer

Subject to applicable law, while we always do our best to accommodate warranty claim requests, all warranty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis and subject to approval at the sole discretion of the company based on the above criteria. Contact us if you believe that your warranty claim should fall within the criteria for approval. We will assess the issue and where necessary notify you about the status of the warranty claim. 

Finally, sample sale items cannot be approved for a warranty replacement under any circumstances.

Subject to applicable law, Compound Studio on behalf of Etah Love reserves the right to reject any and all warranty claims whereby the warranty claim does not meet the criteria set forth above at the company’s sole discretion acting reasonably.

Compound Studio on behalf of Etah Love also reserves the right to refuse or withdraw warranty eligibility in response to exploitative behaviour at the company’s sole discretion acting reasonably.


What about a warranty for items that are not jewellery?

We have a 2-year warranty for eyewear, apparel, homewares and headwear.

We have a 1-year warranty for leather goods.

In addition to the conditions of our Lifetime Warranty, these warranties also do not cover:

  • Lens scratches
  • Wear and tear from customer use
    • Including holes, rips and stains in apparel
  • Damage from improper storage

Any alterations of eyewear products including but not limited to replacing existing lenses with prescription lenses.


I damaged my own item by accident, can I get a replacement?

We understand that mistakes happen. However, failure or damage caused by improper use or carelessness from daily wear is not covered under warranty.


I lost my item, can I get it replaced?

Lost items are not covered under warranty.


What happens if my item is out of stock for replacement?

If your item is out of stock we can provide you with something else of the same value or provide you with a gift card for the price you originally paid.
